The Coffenberry Middle School Cafeteria Building is situated north of the school’s existing gymnasium building. Its location improves campus safety and cohesiveness, eliminating the need for students to cross NE Rice Street to access the existing school building. The project included site improvements such as grading, utilities, and student drop-off and parking. The building’s flexible cafeteria space allows for a range of indoor activities, including seating for performances in the attached band room. The building features a large commercial kitchen and storage room, support spaces, and a generous courtyard for eating and activities. The project is Phase One of a larger school building addition the school district has planned for the future.
